Commenting on the announcement, the Editor-in-Chief of APJ, Muhammad Jameel Yusha’u, stated: “The special edition of APJ on Agenda 2063 provides ample opportunity for key stakeholders in the African continent to contribute to strengthening policies that would advance economic development in Africa. The devastating impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, challenges of food security and the high rate of inflation in the continent require stronger policies. This is the right time to have scholarly review of the African Agenda 2063, assess the challenges of implementation and suggest robust policies that will enhance the implementation of the agenda.”
